The map of the boundaries of Lithuanian karst regions M 1:50 000 shows the boundaries of the spread of karst and karst suffusion process in the territory of Lithuania. The karst process in Lithuania is related to the dissolution and removal of gypsum. During this process, voids are formed in the depths of the earth, and superficial karstic forms can be formed on the surface - sinkholes, bends, collapses, etc. The map was created by analyzing and determining the prevalence of karstic relief forms and taking into account the available geological information (presence of karstic rocks, gypsum thicknesses, gypsum-covering rock thicknesses, etc.).
