Urban Atlas data provide information on the land cover and land use in 2012 in the six largest cities of Lithuania (Vilnius, Kaunas, Panevėžys, Alytus, Šiauliai, Klaipėda) and their surrounding territories. The Urban Atlas is based on statistical image classification and visual interpretation of very high resolution satellite images. The input data are: multispectral SPOT 5, SPOT 6 and Formosat-2 pan-sharpened photographs with resolutions of 2 and 2.5 m.
